The 2024 elections are critical. Make your voice heard!

Vote for Becky Evans for State House Representative District 90


Election Day is
Tuesday May 21 and polls are open from 7:00am-7:00pm. If you vote on Election Day, you must vote at your assigned polling location. Check your polling location and your sample ballot  here.

Early Voting is Monday April 29-Friday May 17. During Early Voting you can vote at any Early Voting location in DeKalb County.  Find an Early Voting location that is convenient for you and check voting hours here.  

The closest locations for HD 90 are:  Emory University, Neighborhood Church, Bessie Branham Rec Center, Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church, Beulah Missionary Baptist Church, and New Life Community Alliance.  South DeKalb Mall is NOT an early vote location this year.  

Early Voting locations are open Monday-Friday from 7:00am-7:00pm, Saturdays from 9:00am-6:00pm and Sunday May 5 from 12:00pm-5:00pm.

Absentee Ballots

We encourage voters to vote early in person if possible, but if you want to vote by absentee ballot, the last day to request one is Friday, May 10th.  For more information on Absentee Ballot voting, go HERE.  Completed absentee ballots must be received by the DeKalb Elections Office before 7:00pm on Election day, Tuesday May 21. Absentee ballots can be delivered to a drop box during Early Voting hours at some Early Voting locations (DeKalb Elections Office on Memorial Drive, Dunwoody Library, Lynwood Rec Center, New Life Community Alliance, Stonecrest (former Sam’s Club), and Tucker Library) 

 STEPS FOR VOTING IN 2024

  • Check your voter registration and make sure it is current

  • If you have moved, register to vote at your new address

  • If anything on your voter registration needs to be updated, contact the DeKalb Elections Office
    You must update your voter registration at least 30 days before any election

  • Make a plan to vote in each election
    You can vote in person on election day, in person during early voting or vote using an absentee ballot.
    You can change your voting method for each election depending on what is most convenient for you.

  • Voting by Absentee Ballot
    Any registered voter can vote by absentee ballot in Georgia. You do not need a reason or excuse to vote by absentee ballot.
    You must submit an application to request an absentee ballot. You must sign the absentee ballot with a pen (wet signature). You can download an absentee ballot application here. If you don’t have access to a printer, you can call the DeKalb Elections Office at (404) 298-4020 or email voterreg@dekalbcountyga.gov  and they will mail an absentee ballot application to you.
    You can submit an application for an absentee ballot no earlier than 78 days before an election and no later than 11 days before election day. You must apply for an absentee ballot for each election unless you are 65 or older or disabled and request that an absentee ballot be sent to you for every election in the current year.
    Once you complete the absentee ballot application and sign it by hand, you can email a picture of it to the DeKalb Elections Office at voterreg@dekalbcountyga.gov or mail or hand deliver your application. Applications must be received by the office no later than 11 days before election day.
    Once you receive your absentee ballot, you can mark your choices, follow the instructions regarding identification, sign your ballot envelope and return your ballot by mail or in person to a ballot drop box. Absentee ballots must be received by 7:00pm on Election Day.

Make sure you have an accepted photo ID to vote

All of the following are acceptable identification for voting:

  • Any valid state or federal government-issued photo ID, including a free ID card issued by your county or the Georgia Department of Driver Services. 

  • A Georgia driver's license, even if expired

  • Student ID from a Georgia public college or university

  • Valid employee photo ID from any branch, department, agency, or entity of the U.S. Government, Georgia, or any county, municipality, board, authority or other entity of this state 

  • Valid U.S. passport ID 

  • Valid U.S. military photo ID 

  • Valid tribal photo ID
